Mbalenhle Mavimbela who played the role of Mahlomu in the movie “The Wife” is a young and promising South African actress and entertainer.

She has been trending over her decision to leave the movie which got her more popular, The Wife. Before her role on the drama series, she had earlier featured in some other films like etv’s drama series called Isipho, on the movie she debuted as Tandzile.

She also had appeared in some other South African movies like Skeem Saam, Judas Kiss and also House of Zwide which are all drama series.

The young and promising star took on the role of MaHlomu Dladla, this role portrays her as a journalist who liked and started a romantic relationship with a taxi driver she met.

It is important to also chip in that the movie which is a Showmax’s trending telenovela got it’s storyline from Dudu Busani-Dube’s best selling book, Hlomu.

She once talked about how she got to get the role of Mahlomu, in the interview she said, and we quote, “After sending in my audition tape, I got the first callback and that gave me the confidence that I was a step closer to becoming uHlomu,” she began explaining.

“I then went back for the chemistry test that was held and clicked well with Bonko Khoza (who plays Mqhele) and I really felt like I had killed it. I walked out of that audition room feeling like I was Hlomu and was really confident because I had prepared so well for that audition,” she stated.
